OBJECTIVE
WI & Cheese.
My intent for this entire website was...
> Identifying the cheese regions of WI
> Identify a trend in the number of cheese
factories vs. cheese production
> Maps for 1880, 1896, 1926, and present day
of Wisconsin mapping out number of
cheese factories per county
> Diagnosing the current state of the
cheese industry and cheese factory
population in Wisconsin
WHAT MY RESEARCH INCLUDES
... to be able to educate the public on the cheese factories in Wisconsin, the history associated with them, and the current state of these factories in this state. Since cheese making has existed in Wisconsin since the moment the first immigrants called this region their new home, it is engraved in the cultural geography of the region. Because of this culture, it would make sense for the public to educate themselves on why this is the current culture, and familiarize themselves with the past and current conditions of the cheese industry in “The Dairy State”.
